The Department of History at New York University invites applicants for a position as Visiting Assistant Professor in Medieval History for the 2017-2018 Academic Year. Strong preference will be given to those scholars whose work addresses History of the Medieval Mediterranean (including the Black Sea) 500-1500.  The successful candidate will demonstrate scholarly excellence and a commitment to both graduate and undergraduate teaching.  Candidates must have PhD in hand at the time of appointment.
