Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid

New College of Florida invites applications for the position of Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. The College is situated on a beautiful 110-acre campus in northern Sarasota County, just two miles from the heart of one of America’s most admired small cities which Money magazine named one of the country’s “best places to live.”

The Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid reports directly to the President and is a member of the senior leadership team. The Dean plays a critical role in shaping the College’s future, and speaks for the President on all aspects of policies and services for the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. The Dean collaborates with College leaders on New College of Florida’s communications with the Florida Board of Governors and staff, the College’s Board of Trustees, external and internal auditors, and numerous other constituents.

The Dean is responsible for defining the mission, goals, and objectives of the Office of Admissions & Financial Aid in accordance with the larger vision of the College as expressed by the President. The Dean works closely with the Provost and the faculty on enrollment management, in order to attract and retain students who demonstrate the academic ability, creativity, and talent necessary for success in the College’s rigorous academic program and who are most likely to make a positive contribution to the life of the College. The Dean ensures that Admissions staff clearly articulate the College’s unique educational philosophy, academic program and all curricular and co-curricular programs, with the opportunities they present to students.  The Dean also makes sure that Financial Aid staff interprets and implements satisfactory academic progress policies, and complies with state and federal requirements regarding aid eligibility, renewal, disbursement and reporting.
