Data Center Infrastructure and Operations Team Manager

This position exists within the Computing Infrastructure Services (CIS) department of OIT. CIS is responsible for the network and computing infrastructure used by faculty, staff, and students campus-wide. This includes PSU’s cloud Infrastructure as a Service environment, enterprise data center, storage, networks, server/client operating systems, databases, middleware and infrastructure applications.

You will provide leadership for our Infrastructure and Operations Team (IOT) responsible for the Data Center, Enterprise Storage, Data Protection / Backups, general operations for the CIS department, and CIS billing for technical services. Your duties will include:

• Mentoring and supervising a team of 4 staff members and 1 student employee;
• Acting as a technical lead for data center, storage, and backups;
• Operational and project planning for the team;
• Coordinating billing for data center hosting services with our central purchasing unit.

The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $80,000 - $95,000/ year with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium-paid healthcare for employees and family members; significantly reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse, or dependent at any of the seven Oregon public universities (details and restrictions apply); and a generous vacation and retirement package.
