Wheaton College, located in Wheaton, Illinois, is pleased to announce its search for the College’s next Chief Intercultural Engagement Officer. The college seeks an exceptional individual who will play a central role in fostering and sustaining a compelling vision for biblical diversity and embrace the challenge of deepening ethnic diversity, promoting racial unity, and advancing intercultural understanding in the pursuit of campus-wide excellence. The CIEO will be active listener and grace-filled motivator who commands respect and engenders trust of faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The appointee will oversee a campus-wide Diversity Council, collaborate with campus leaders to design, implement, and assess curricular and co-curricular initiatives that embody Wheaton’s “Christ-centered Diversity Commitment” and advance the College’s strategic priorities of deepening ethnic diversity and globalizing a Wheaton education.

It is preferred that the successful candidate hold a terminal degree in a field relevant to the duties of this position. The individual is expected to have at least five years of experience in a role of administrative leadership in higher education requiring racial and cultural sensitivity, as well as five years of experience in a role that effectively promoted unity in diversity, preferably in Christian higher education.
