General Summary of Position:

The Francis College of Engineering is searching for outstanding candidates for a tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The college includes 130 faculty members, over 30% of whom are women, and has over 3,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students. The University is located in the historic industrial city of Lowell, Massachusetts and serves the multicultural population of the Commonwealth. The College has been nationally recognized for its commitment to diversity by the American Society for Engineering Education.

UMass Lowell is a Carnegie Doctoral High Research (RU/H) university ranked in the top tier of US News' National Universities and is strategically located 30 miles northwest of Boston in the northeast Massachusetts high-tech region.

Minimum Qualifications (Required): 

• Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline.

For this tenure-track position in Electrical and Computer Engineering (EE/CpE), we seek candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with expertise in:

• Machine learning/artificial intelligence
• Cyber security (hardware and software)
• Next-generation computing architectures, and embedded systems.

Outstanding candidates at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor will be considered.  Postdoctoral research and previous experience working with industry is preferred.
