Director of the Counseling Center

Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) seeks applications for a Director of Counseling Services position. Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Enrollment & Student Services, the Director of Counseling Services provides overall leadership and oversight of the daily operations in the Counseling Center; including the clinical delivery system, the development and regulation of clinical policies and procedures; comprehensive clinical services; outreach and psycho-educational programs, crisis intervention; and consultation to students, faculty and staff.  This position serves as an active participant in the Division of Student Life and is a leader on campus.  This is a 12-month, full-time position.

The successful candidate must:

  • possess a Doctoral degree;

  • be a licensed psychologist;

  • have at least 3 years of experience (preferred) in college/young adult counseling;

  • be team oriented, highly organized, dependable;

  • be able to function at a high-level with minimal supervision;

  • have excellent clinical skills; and

  • have knowledge of how to develop and implement college counseling outreach and prevention efforts.
