LEADERSHIP PROFILE & POSITION SUMMARY

Position Summary: The Director, Strategic Partnerships position is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of OHIO Online program promotion, recruitment and organizational communication efforts in an assigned territory through relationships with academic, industry, organizational and agency partners. The director will develop and maintain existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and serve as the primary point of contact to build enrollment pipelines for OHIO online programs. The director will qualify new leads and collaborate with the OHIO Online enrollment advisors to provide consistent follow-up throughout the entire enrollment funnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cultivate and Maintain Relationships:  The primary objective of a Director, Strategic Partnerships occurs in an assigned territory with executives and leadership at current and prospective partner organizations including academic, industry and agency partners. Execute a relevant strategic partnership plan for every assigned partnership, ensuring partnership launches, maintenance, project timelines, student impact, and enrollment results are achieved. In collaboration with the Regional Director, conducts market and competitor assessment; identifies and evaluates potential partnership opportunities through effective and data-driven territory planning. Travel to and maintain presence at college partners on a regular basis to promote OHIO’s undergraduate online programs.  Research, recommend, and participate in appropriate regional, professional organizations or events to represent OHIO and extend reach. Serve as initial contact for prospective students and ensure consistency of the university relationship throughout the recruiting stages. Counsel and advise constituents on a range of admission and enrollment processes.  Build and maintain relationships with leadership at industry partners, administrators and faculty at partner community colleges and other educational based community organizations.  Facilitate appropriate university connections and ensure appropriate campus representation and engagement with the partner.  Connect Ohio University staff with appropriate counterparts at these organizations to promote and grow collaborative opportunities.  Present to senior leadership at industry partner and community college partner department chairs, faculty and staff.  Responsible for organizing and delivering several on-site or virtual recruiting events per month, representing OHIO online programs with the intent to drive enrollment. In collaboration with the Regional Director Strategic Partnerships, identify new prospective partner organizations and cold call key decision makers to build relationships and create a pipeline of prospective students. Consistently introduce and manage the roll-out of campaigns and promotions to new and existing partners. Monitor market trends in assigned territory to share with senior leadership to inform new, emerging and enhanced partnership opportunities. Act as primary point of contact for employees of partner organizations who are enrolled in OHIO online programs.

 

Manage and Implement Strategies:  Traveling extensively within an assigned territory, directors implement strategies to build and maintain enrollment pipelines for the entire OHIO Online portfolio of undergraduate programs.  Qualify new leads and connect prospective students to OHIO Online enrollment advisors to provide consistent follow-up through email, phone and text.  Counsel prospective students on the enrollment process and connect them to the OHIO Online enrollment advisor team for follow-up. Maintain current and thorough knowledge of the university and degree programs represented.

 

Manage Recruitment and Relationship Activity:  Directors are responsible for the daily management of all recruitment and relationship activity with appropriate history and account information.  They will facilitate articulation agreements and the non-degree Nursing Early Start process for partner community colleges.  Directors will also collaborate with Senior Director of Enrollment Marketing to ensure accurate information is maintained on partner organization websites. They will also routinely evaluate the ROI of recruitment efforts and use the data to inform future recruitment strategies in collaboration with the Regional Director. 

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field by start date, ability to travel independently, and at least three years of experience, which may be attributed to a combination of related paid employment, related student employment, relevant internships, and, in some cases, relevant experiential learning with appropriate documentation.    

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with a master’s degree are strongly preferred, but not required. Pay Rate

Based on extensive benchmarking data, the director position is mapped to Pay Grade CA&P17 at OHIO, with a target hiring range of $51,281-$59,614. The exact base salary for the selected candidate will be negotiable, commensurate with education and experience, and competitive in the field within the context of similarly situated positions at public universities nationally.
