CHAIR, HEALTH INFORMATICS & DATA SCIENCE

The Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health and Dean Elaine Morrato seek strategic and distinguished scholars to lead the Department of Healthcare Administration and Department of Health Informatics & Data Science at Loyola University Chicago.

The chair of Healthcare Administration will develop and advance a strategy for the department’s future that encompasses a broad vision of the health system to prepare the next generation of healthcare administration leaders. The department is anchored by a strong core of faculty paving the way for the department’s future growth, building on a longstanding AUPHA-accredited undergraduate program and a newly launched MHA degree.

The chair of Health Informatics & Data Science will chart a bold course for the department’s future that enables and supports the Parkinson School to lead health informatics and data science work across and beyond Loyola. The department is home to the Center for Health Outcomes and Informatics Research (CHOIR). A university-wide center with a $25 million endowment, CHOIR enhances and facilitates collaborative, interdisciplinary research across Loyola. The chair of Health Informatics & Data Science serves as de facto director of CHOIR.
