Copy of Lecturer in Italian

The Department of World Languages and Literatures invites applications for a Lecturer in Italian with an opportunity to be involved in the shaping of a dynamic program in Italian.  Creative energy, excellent pedagogical training, and a broad-ranging repertoire and teaching interests are essential.  Willingness and ability to develop and teach dynamic courses at the intermediate level and/or courses in Italian cinema are highly desirable.  We welcome candidates from all backgrounds.  Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in Italian or a related field, required. Ph.D. preferred.  Experience teaching in the U.S. educational system is required.  Experience teaching at the post-secondary level is preferred.  To ensure full consideration for the position, the application must be received by March 1, 2017, but the committee will continue to accept applications until the position is filled.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.  The committee will notify applicants of its employment decision after the position is filled.
