ASSOCIATE DEAN OF EXECUTIVE EDUCATION

Columbia Business School invites nominations and applications for the Associate Dean of Executive Education.

Columbia Business School Executive Education offers executives and organizations a variety of approaches, programs and means to excel. The broad portfolio of nondegree programs for individuals span the topics management, leadership, strategy, finance, marketing, and social enterprise. Programs for organizations are designed specifically to meet a corporations’ goals. Executives will be better prepared to lead their organizations through increasingly complex conditions and challenges.

Reporting to the Dean of Columbia Business School, the Associate Dean of Executive Education is responsible for providing leadership for the delivery of high quality custom and open enrollment executive education programs worldwide. Columbia Business School Executive Education provides hands-on development to middle and senior level executives in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors of business. Included are the development, design, marketing, sales, and implementation of new programs to meet client needs and to further the School’s mission of bridging theory and practice.

The Associate Dean will have comprehensive oversight of the Executive Education operation, including responsibility for setting and implementing strategy, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, managing resources, and overseeing the quality of program delivery. The Associate Dean will be a visionary who can manage innovation and understand the business, its trends and the mission-critical technical and functional skills needed for success. Qualified candidates may come from a number of professional backgrounds but will have at least eight years of relevant experience in leading and managing an organization at the senior executive level. In addition, qualified candidates will have proven relationship sales and marketing acumen and an ability to grow a profitable professional business unit that focuses on C-suite decision makers and senior leadership clientele.  A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
