Widener University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. The Dean is the chief administrative officer of the College, reports directly to the Provost, serves with seven other deans on the Provost’s Council and on the President’s Executive Team, and is the official liaison between the College’s faculty and the Provost.

Located twenty minutes from Philadelphia, the nation’s sixth largest city and home to world-class art, culture, sports, entertainment, and history, Widener’s 110-acre Main Campus has benefitted from $220 million in new construction and renovations over the past 12 years. Review of nominations and applications will begin immediately, and nominations and expressions of interest will be welcomed until an appointment is made. The appointee is expected to take office in July 2017. Applications received by March 15, 2017, will be assured of full consideration; these should include a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae, a statement outlining how your education and/or professional experiences, background or philosophy demonstrate your commitment to diversity and equity and the names of five professional references with e-mail addresses and telephone numbers.
