The George Mason University Department of Mathematical Sciences, within in the College of Science, seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences. The selected candidate will be expected to begin on August 25, 2017. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; support the department’s Ph.D. program in Mathematics; and provide service activities to the department, college and university.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. degree prior to the first day of this appointment. A strong record in both research and teaching is also required. Well-qualified candidates will have postdoctoral research experience. Strong preference will be given to candidates whose research interests align with those of the department and/or with strategic initiatives of the College of Science, including data sciences.
