Division CFO

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture reports directly to the Vice President for Agriculture. The DivisionCFO provides the highest level of oversight and leadership for all financial, budgetary, and accounting operations of the Division of Agriculture, including the financial management systems of the Agricultural Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service.

Required: An undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, accounting, as well as a graduate degree in administration, finance, accounting, law or related field is required. A minimum of ten years of advance financial management experience is required. This experience will show progressive responsibility in planning and financial management at a senior leadership level and include at least five years of supervisory experience in a financial services or highly related environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Preferred: A Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) certification. Extensive experience with state and federal accounting and purchasing laws and regulations, as well as experience in financial management in a land-grant university system and/or other higher education institutions. Experience in government relations, legislative funding processes, governmental accountability, higher education policy development and implementation, and legal agreements. Experience and knowledge of various modern financial and information management software systems.
