Its fall 2016 enrollment was 15,655 students (88% female, 12% male, 54% minority). The university believes in a quality education that is affordable and accessible, which is why it offers more than $15 million in scholarships annually. TWU prides itself on providing students with a well-rounded educational experience focused on service, health and well-being, and integrity.

Respect for diversity in all dimensions (U.S. News & World Report ranks the university in the top 10 in the nation for diversity) and a safe campus environment (TWU is among the safest campuses in the nation) are among the hallmarks of a TWU education. Further, The Economist magazine ranks Texas Woman’s University No. 45 in the nation and No. 2 in Texas out of 1,275 universities for maximizing students’ earning potential. The university is nationally recognized as Military Friendly.

For 110 years, the programs in TWU’s College of Professional Education (COPE) have been producing graduates who are well-prepared for both the present and the future challenges of their profession. With exceptional scores on state certification exams and accrediting agencies, and high marks from the schools, agencies and organizations that employ its graduates, the programs in COPE have a well-deserved reputation for producing and preparing extraordinary professionals who are making a difference in communities through Texas and the world.

The College enrolls over 2,300 students and employs approximately 62 full-time faculty with 58% tenured and 32% on the tenure track with 94% having terminal degrees.
