Assistant Professor of Athletic Training

The University of Southern Maine’s College of Science, Technology and Health seeks candidates for a 9 month, academic year (Sept –May) faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor faculty rank within the Department of Exercise, Health, and Sport Science’s (EHSS) Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited undergraduate Athletic Training Program (ATP).  This is a tenure-track faculty appointment. Anticipated start date is September 1, 2017. 

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses within the Department’s CAATE accredited ATP and within the candidate’s area of expertise.  Tenure-track faculty typically teach nine credit hours per academic semester.  The selected candidate will also conduct, present and publish scholarly activities in state, region and national forums and will provide service to the department, college, university, community and profession.

The Department of EHSS offers degrees in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, and Health Sciences.
