Network Engineer - University of Northern Iowa

Configures and manages network devices, supporting systems, and firewalls; provides monitoring, troubleshooting and response for systems; administers Network Management System (NMS) applications; and participates in campus network infrastructure planning and design.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field plus at least one year of cumulative experience in routing, switching, wireless network administration, or Windows and Linux system administration required. Prior experience with networking; SNMP and scripting; Cisco ASA firewall configuration; and network management systems in a large LAN and WAN environment preferred; Student experience will be considered. On call hours to respond to service issues and outages will be necessary.
