Assistant Professor of Violin

Assistant Professor, tenure-track position.Teach studio violin at the undergraduate, graduate, and artist diploma levels; recruit and maintain a high-quality violin studio through teaching and performing activities; continue/expand professional performance to achieve national and international visibility; coach chamber music and teach other secondary areas according to the needs of the School as defined by the Director of the School of Music; participate in departmental activities, including solo and collaborative performing, and other activities appropriate for a faculty member at a major research university. Required Application Materials & Application InstructionsAn earned doctorate at the time of appointment is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered. Master’s degree is required. Candidates must demonstrate high-level performing ability and promise for national and international recognition as a performer and teacher.
