Reporting to the Assistant Director, OHIO Online, the enrollment advisor represents the University to a wide variety of constituents, including prospective students and their families, secondary and postsecondary school personnel, community-based organizations, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process. Coordinates and contributes to the success of initiatives designed to identify, attract, admit, and enroll students in Ohio University’s undergraduate online programs.

The OHIO Online Enrollment Advisor will facilitate prospective students through the admissions process for OHIO online programs. The Enrollment Advisor will conduct outreach with prospective students to gauge eligibility and interest for OHIO online programs, build and manage active pipeline of leads, communicate with prospective students via call campaigns, emails and other forms of communication and utilize database tools to efficiently track each interaction and the progress of all assigned leads. Communicates OHIO’s values, benefits and differentiating features to prospective students. Listens, probes, recognizes and considers prospective students’ needs to determine which OHIO program is the best fit. Executes a recruitment plan designed to encourage, support, and guide prospective students through the application process for the desired program. Maintains consistent contact with current and prospective students, providing the highest level of customer service to all stakeholders. Meets daily efficiency metrics and achieves enrollment targets assigned per program. 

Evaluate applications and supplemental materials for the purposes of making admission decisions.  Conduct thorough, holistic, selective review of an applicant’s candidacy.  Determine necessary documentation to support an admission decision and recommends appropriate alternative pathways when admission cannot be offered. 

Serves as liaison to an assigned academic and/or administrative unit to facilitate integrated recruitment and admission functions and resolve issues of competing priorities. Monitors progress toward recruitment, admission, or yield targets for assigned academic programs or populations, and proposes action or adjustments as needed. Effectively communicate quality of leads and program updates for appropriate cross-functional and internal team members.

The hiring range for pay grade 14 is $36,279 – $54,312 and the target salary range for this position is $36,279 – $40,788. Salary is commensurate with education and experience, while also considering internal equity.
