Dean, College of Education and Human Development

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) is conducting a national search for a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as Dean of the College of Education and Human Development. The College seeks a Dean with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to shape a vision for the College’s future and effectively move the College towards the realization of that vision. The Dean reports directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The College of Education and Human Development prepares leaders who represent diverse backgrounds and experiences to serve the educational and human well-being needs of the global community. The College enrolls over 1,200 undergraduate students, 370 master’s students, and 140 doctoral students. Students at all levels have many opportunities for field experience and collaboration with faculty on research projects. The College plays a critical role in the University’s efforts to grow research and scholarly efforts across campus and build strong community partnerships that benefit the region. 

There are 51 faculty (44 of which are tenured or tenure-track) and 19 staff across a diverse set of departments in the College: Counseling & Educational Psychology; Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction; Kinesiology & Military Science; and Teacher Education. The College also oversees the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center; the Early Childhood Development Center; and the ROTC.
