Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor-Graduate Liberal Studies and Dispute Resolution Program

The Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development at Southern Methodist University seeks a full-time Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor in the Graduate Liberal Studies and Dispute Resolution program areas.

Principal responsibilities include:

  • Teaching courses in the graduate liberal studies and/or dispute resolution programs
  • Academic (individual and group) advising
  • Service to the department to support program projects and events
  • Service to the School and University

 

This is a renewable non-tenured position with an initial one-year appointment beginning August 2022. Required qualifications include:

  • A Ph.D. (or earned doctoral equivalent) in Humanities, Social Sciences, Education  or other area relevant to the programs served
  • Teaching experience at the university level

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience advising/chairing students through the completion of a doctoral degree
