Job Description Summary
The temporary instructional designer will assist with the design and development of a new online curriculum in research dissemination and translation. The curriculum will be comprised of five 20-minute modules and the program will be fully online and asynchronous. Services needed include ideation, prototyping, prototype testing, working with the subject matter expert, storyboarding, video editing, and production within the Open Canvas LMS. The content needs to be engaging, accessible, and actionable for researchers at multiple universities.
Interactivity will be developed by leveraging the functionality available via Open Canvas. Existing video will be repurposed where possible, and may be re-recorded using Panopto or Zoom if needed. 
This role requires effective communication with Penn administrators and the content expert. The role also requires flexibility, the ability to meet project milestones, and the ability to suggest and incorporate revisions as part of an iterative process.

The Instructional Designer must have strong proficiency in both the pedagogical and technical aspects of online curriculum development. A Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. This position is contingent on funding.
