The Department of Pharmacology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of In vivo CRISPR targeting, single cell sequencing, In utero electroporation and general molecular cell biology techniques. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. 

Responsibilities may include developing a vigorous research program focused on neuroimmunology and neurodevelopment projects; interact and train technicians and graduate students; assisting with the submission of grant applications/contracts and secure research project funding; and participating in discussion, research progress and lab morale.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to primarily carry out a research program in Dr. Yeong Shin Yim's lab. The position will allow the candidate to grow as an independent scientist and gain eligibility to apply for funding through different mechanisms. Also, successful candidates will benefit from the thriving and collegial PENN research community and tailored career development guidance.

Ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Biological Sciences.
