New Orleans, Louisiana

Tulane University seeks a visionary and strategic leader to serve as its inaugural Chief Innovation and Entrepreneurship Officer. Reporting to the President and the Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Innovation and Entrepreneurship Officer will provide foundational leadership for the Tulane Innovation Institute, the newly catalyzed hub for innovation and entrepreneurial excellence.

With a mandate to spark innovation that traverses university departments and spans academic disciplines, the Chief Innovation and Entrepreneurship Officer will be action-oriented, working collaboratively with academic and administrative entities to facilitate, support, and enhance a robust ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. The successful candidate for the Chief Innovation and Entrepreneurship Officer position will be a convener, motivator, and relationship builder, with the gravitas to capitalize on the vast power of Tulane’s top-ranked research enterprise and the university’s known intellectual assets, positioning the Tulane Innovation Institute for bold and meaningful impacts. In this role, the Chief Innovation and Entrepreneurship Officer will be eager to fuse his or her applied experience in innovation management, early-stage investments, and private sector business development; demonstrated ability to forge partnerships with diverse stakeholders; and impressive understanding of – and appreciation for – academic culture and structures.
