Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Clinical Chemistry and experience with Hematology, Coagulation, and Microbiology is also desirable. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree. Ph.D. applicants must have appropriate postgraduate board eligibility/certification (DABCC). M.D. applicants must have board eligibility/certification in clinical pathology. Physicians must be eligible/licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of fellows, residents, medical and graduate students.

Clinical responsibilities may include assisting in oversight of the CHOP King of Prussia Laboratory and Philadelphia Campus Core Chemistry Laboratory, oversight of satellite point-of care sites, clinical test interpretation, quality control, innovation and test development. The successful candidate will serve as both Assistant Director of Clinical Chemistry and Assistant Director of the CHOP King of Prussia Laboratory.
