Job Description Summary
The Temp Extra Worker will contribute to the daily processing and bio-banking of human samples from numerous clinical trials including receipt and management of these samples using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This individual will also in due course train as a flow cytometry technician for the Correlative Flow Cytometry Team, using the laboratory BD LSR II Fortessa instrument, and generating assay reports using the FCS Express flow cytometry analysis software. Additional responsibilities include media preparation, database organization, and other potential duties outside of standard obligations to contribute to smooth functioning of the sample pipeline.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in the biological sciences (required) 1-2 years academic laboratory work (preferred)Experience with flow cytometry and cellular assays (preferred) Familiarity with BD LSR II Fortessa flow cytometer, FlowJo and FCS Express software (preferred) Human sample handling: blood, bone marrow aspirate, tissues, fluid (preferred)  

Strong organizational skills (preferred)
