UCSB's Bren School invites applications for temporary, part-time lecturers who can teach one or more graduate-level courses for master's students pursuing professional degrees in Environmental Data Science and/or Environmental Science and Management. Areas of instruction may include Data Science, Conservation Planning, Environmental Planning, Biogeochemistry, Ecotoxicology, Energy and Climate, Water Policy, Environmental Negotiation, and Environmental Justice. Specific areas in Environmental Data Science include Ethics and Bias, Text and Sentiment Analysis, and Data Visualization.

Appointments are variable percentage (generally 17-33% time for one quarter) with the possibility of an annual reappointment. Salary is dependent upon qualifications. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and any appropriate collective bargaining agreement.

Applicants must have at least (1) a Master's Degree or (2) a Bachelor's Degree and three years of work experience in the environmental field. Applicants should have training and experience teaching in the relevant field. A PhD in a relevant field and some teaching experience is preferred.
