The next President will uphold Spelman’s commitment to academic excellence, rigorous scholarship, ethical leadership, and social change while fostering an intellectually stimulating environment that advances diversity and promotes action. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who is deeply committed to undergraduate education, steeped in the liberal arts, and will continue to position Spelman as the college of choice for talented, free-thinking Black women.
