The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (‘CHRO”) is a valued member of the Georgia Tech leadership team, responsible for proactively recommending innovative and collaborative approaches to leadership. The CHRO is responsible for building and supporting staffing models aligned with the new strategic plan, anticipating employee needs and changing dynamics to proactively improve practices.  The CHRO fulfills a significant role in representing the campus to internal and external constituencies related to issues such as collaborating with University System of Georgia and the board of regents.  This position will interact on a consistent basis with:  Executive and senior leadership, business unit and academic department heads, faculty, staff, students, outside executives.  This position typically will advise and counsel:  Executive and senior Leadership, internal stakeholders and unit staff.  This position will supervise management and staff of assigned units.

The ideal candidate will have more than 10-years of HR leadership experience in higher education or other large, complex, decentralized organizations; have a background in compensation, benefits, HRIS and employee relations. A bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree is preferred.
