Department of Marine & Earth Sciences (Multiple Positions)

The Department of Marine & Earth Sciences and The Water School at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) invites nominations and applications for faculty positions across a range of disciplines related to water and the environment. The Water School is an interdisciplinary enterprise that brings together faculty from five colleges and schools representing 15 departments to focus on the environmental, economic and human dimensions of coastal resilience, ecosystem integrity, health and wellbeing, and restoration and remediation. Beginning January 2022, The Water School (fgcu. edu/thewaterschool) will be housed in a new 114,000 sq. ft. facility (partially powered by solar) with state-of-the-art research labs and classrooms. The Water School is also home to the Coastal Watershed Institute, the Center for Environment and Society, and two off-campus facilities — the Everglades Wetland Research Park in Naples and the Vester Marine Field Station in Bonita Springs.
