General Summary of Position:  

The Francis College of Engineering is searching for outstanding candidates to fill a visiting faculty position in the area of environmental engineering for the spring 2022 semester. The college includes 130 faculty members, 30% of whom are women, and has over 3,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students. The University is located in the historic industrial city of Lowell, Massachusetts and serves the multicultural population of the Commonwealth. The College has been nationally recognized for its commitment to diversity by the American Society for Engineering Education.

Minimum Qualifications (Required): 

  • Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in Environmental Engineering, or closely related discipline at the time of appointment

**Visiting Professor in Environmental Engineering should be capable of teaching courses at the undergraduate level such as: capstone design, biological processes in environmental engineering, air quality, fluid mechanics, and environmental engineering laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with experience in engineering education and design of effective and inclusive pedagogical approaches will be given strong consideration
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer and relevant industrial experience
