Assistant Clerkship Director (Asst/Assoc/Prof of Clinical Family Medicine)

The Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford (UICOMR) seeks a full-time board-certified family medicine physician to join our faculty as Assistant Clerkship Director. UICOMR is a well-established 4-year regional campus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, one of the largest medical schools in the United States. On average, 22% of our graduates go on to Family Medicine residencies. Our campus is home to a family medicine residency program founded in 1972 that offers full spectrum care to a culturally diverse population. Our residents are trained in all aspects of Family Medicine including a well-established obstetrics curriculum. In addition to clinical practice, the position provides for supervision of residents and medical students in the ambulatory and hospital setting. This individual would provide oversight of medical student clerkship activities. Opportunities abound in this dynamic and growing department for teaching, research, and clinical care.

Rockford is a vibrant, mid-sized metropolitan city in northern Illinois about 80 miles northwest of Chicago. Public and several private school systems are available.

 

The ideal candidate is a board-certified family physician qualified for unrestricted licensure in Illinois. Faculty rank is commensurate with qualifications.
