The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Global Radiation Oncology Health; building relationships with international organizations and experience in establishing and maintaining research partnerships around global health initiatives, particularly in areas with low-resources. Experience with qualitative implementation sciences/modeling also preferred. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Must be ABR board certified or eligible.

Teaching responsibilities may include the teaching, training, and mentoring of radiation oncology residents, medical physics residents, medical physics graduate students, visiting physics residents or trainees from other institutions or other countries. Other informal and formal teachings include, but are not limited to participating in resident didactic series, both as a lecturer and as an in-person discussant.

Clinical responsibilities may include providing conventional radiation, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), proton therapy, photon and proton reirradiation, and total body irradiation (TBI) as treatment modalities in the care of patients.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include focusing on research to address disparities in cancer care domestically and abroad; developing and leading global health research initiatives in radiation oncology; expanding global health programming in under resourced countries with limited access to cancer care funding. The successful candidate will have experience building/maintaining research and professional connections as well as establishing strong partnerships with international organizations such as IAEA. Experience in qualitative implementation science/modeling highly preferred.
