The Diagnostic Pathology Service at New Bolton Center (NBC), Department of Pathobiology, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants for a faculty position in Wildlife Pathology in the Clinician Educator (CE) track in Kennett Square, PA. This Wildlife Pathology position is expected to establish a diagnostic and surveillance program, and a collaborative research program in partnership with the Penn Vet Pennsylvania Wildlife Futures Program and the Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory System through skillful interpretation of lesions in a wide range of wildlife and exotic species, primarily avian and mammalian. The Penn Vet Pennsylvania Wildlife Futures Program at NBC is integrated with the Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory System (PADLS), a tripartite animal diagnostic laboratory system funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and accredited by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics (AAVLD). In addition to providing diagnostic services for the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Penn Vet's Widener hospital, the laboratory also receives livestock (horses, cattle, small ruminants, camelids, poultry), companion animal (dogs and cats), and laboratory animal diagnostic necropsy cases. The position also requires clinical training of veterinary and postdoctoral students in veterinary pathology.
