Summary of Position

The Director of Interprofessional Education (IPE) and the Telehealth Practice Center will report to the Dean of the College of Health and Human Services. The Director will engage in the academic mission of the College to strengthen our IPE curriculum and our recently launched Telehealth Practice Center (TPC).  Responsibilities include the integration of telepractice and e-health modalities in undergraduate and graduate education, service, and research for the health and human services disciplines across UNH. This individual will work with staff and faculty to continue integrating telepractice and e-health curriculum into courses across the college.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Budgetary–Maintain a budget for the TPC and establish and maintain a productive level of engagement that creates sustainable funding streams for the college to support IPE and TPC, e.g., grant opportunities, grant management, billable services, external partnerships, etc.
  • Curriculum Development–Develop effective IPE curriculum and educational activities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and successfully lead an interdisciplinary telehealth practice center, provide growth opportunities and support existing successful programming.
  • Collaborate–Build partnerships with local, state and national stakeholders pertinent to the delivery of telehealth and promote internal and external outreach activities of the telehealth center within the college, university and community partners through teaching, practice and/or research.
  • Supervision–Supervise day-to-day operations of a laboratory facility, manage programs, estimate program costs, and develop timelines.

Other Minimum Qualifications                                         

  • An advanced degree in health and human services or closely related field.
  • An understanding of best practice around IPE in health and human services curricula including classroom, simulation and clinical instruction will be essential.
  • Clinical knowledge and understanding of the implementation of digital health technologies into service delivery, including funding/payment mechanisms.
  • Experience in the area of sustainability planning and grant development and management, especially through the provision of revenue-generating projects and services.

Additional Preferred Qualifications                                 

  • A Doctoral degree in health and human services or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in the intersection between interprofessional education (IPE) and non-traditional, future-oriented care delivery models.
