PROVOST AND VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

The President and community of SUNY Brockport invite applications and nominations for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The College seeks a leader who will bring energy, passion, and innovation to the role. The new Provost is expected to take office in June of 2022.

SUNY Brockport, part of the State University of New York system, is a selective public institution that is committed to student success. It is proud of its Brockport Promise: “to engage our students each day in cultivating their capacity for intellectual, physical, and creative accomplishment.” The total enrollment is 7,924 (6,673 undergraduate, 1,251 graduate).

Located along the Erie Canal, the Village of Brockport has 8,300 residents, and is a 25-minute drive to Rochester, home to numerous museums, galleries, shops and restaurants. Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Toronto are all just a few hours drive away.

The Provost provides administrative leadership and oversight of the Division of Academic Affairs, which includes the schools of Arts and Sciences; Business and Management; and Education, Health and Human Services. The Provost also oversees the Drake Memorial Library, Center for Global Education and Engagement, Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Office of Accountability and Assessment, Office of the Vice Provost, and Center for Graduate Studies. As a member of the President's Cabinet, the Provost develops policy and practice on institutional issues, represents the College in SUNY decision-making and with other external agencies and bodies, and serves as a College officer/representative on public occasions. The Provost is also the campus administrative liaison to the State University of New York (SUNY) for academic matters.
