The Athletic Department at The College of New Jersey is seeking candidates for Athletics Business Manager role.

The Athletics Business Manager is responsible for the coordination of budget management for the Athletic Department. This position works closely with the Executive Director of Athletics to manage the day to day business operations.  Job responsibilities include processing all budget paperwork, accurate record keeping, submission and reconciliation of POs, preparing monthly reports, managing reallocations within the budget, and preparing EADA and NCAA reports. Additionally, the position is responsible for managing the department credit cards and monthly reconciliation process. This position also coordinates all department and team travel for 20 varsity athletic teams including football. The Athletics Business Manager reconciles department ticket and concessions revenues, submits all deposits, assists coaches with set up of online camp/clinic registration and assists with hosting NJAC and NCAA post season tournaments, and other special events as assigned.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 3 years experience in athletics business management, athletics administration, accounting or other related field.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

  • Fast paced, collaborative and goal oriented environment.

  • Positive and can do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong knowledge of intercollegiate athletics

  • Strong knowledge of budget management
