Job Description Summary
We are seeking a full time Associate Director F, who will be responsible for the operational and fiscal oversight and management of all initiatives and activities across the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit and Penn Implementation Science Center at the Leonard Davis Institute (PISCE@LDI).

The Penn Medicine Nudge Unit is the world's first behavioral design team embedded within a health system, and the Associate Director F will work closely with the Nudge Unit's director to build the unit's expertise and prominence at the intersection of implementation science and behavioral economics, strengthening interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships across campus. The Associate Director F will also work closely with the PISCE@LDI director to achieve the center's goals to advance the science of implementation, train the next generation of implementation researchers, and transform health and behavioral health services domestically and globally. This position will provide high-level direction to the efforts related to building capacity to conduct implementation research and leading an active implementation research portfolio.

Job Description

The duties of the Associate Director F will include (but are not limited to): direct all strategic, operational, administrative, and financial activities across the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit; provide high-level operational, administrative, and financial support to the personnel managing the PISCE@LDI portfolio; Collaborate with grants and business management on all business, administrative, financial, and grant related activities to ensure our team complies with all policies and procedures set by the department, university, health system, and/or funding agencies; oversee all human resource activities across the team and consult with hiring managers on matters related to recruitment, training, ongoing supervision, and retention of full time and part time staff; consult with research team on regulatory matters and provide high-level expertise related to institutional, local and federal requirements related to human subject research, institutional review boards, and best practices related to data safety, compliance, and monitoring.

The Associate Director F must have impeccable organization, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. They must have strong leadership skills, work independently and collaboratively, and exhibit sound judgement. Experience working with research faculty, health system leaders, and community stakeholders is preferable.

This position is contingent upon funding.

Requirements:

Master's Degree with 7-10 years of related experience in clinical and academic research operations and methods or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
