Dean and CAO, Trumbull Campus

Kent State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean and Chief Administrative Officer at the Trumbull campus. Reporting to the Vice President, Regional Campuses and Dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies, the Dean and Chief Administrative Officer assumes responsibility and provides overall leadership and direction for all aspects of campus administration and This position provides academic leadership, strategic planning, personnel development and management, and budget development for the campus.

The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in a relevant field; eight years progressively responsible experience in program development, marketing, budget, personnel supervision; and experience as a faculty member. The successful candidate will be someone who can develop new initiatives to enhance Kent State University at Trumbull’s goal to inspire learning, transforming students into independent thinkers and, more importantly, into doers by giving students the skills necessary to put knowledge into practice. 

Located on 348 acres in Warren, Ohio, Kent State University at Trumbull combines the best of a large university experience and a small liberal arts college while providing access to academic, economic, and cultural advancement. Kent State Trumbull is an open-admission campus of over 2,200 students, more than 110 full- and part-time faculty, 50 administrative and support staff and an $14 million annual operating budget. Students can choose from 30 associate or bachelor's degree programs or start coursework toward the more than 340 academic programs offered by Kent State. The campus has recently added study abroad and athletic opportunities. The campus is also home to the Ohio Basic Police Academy and a Corrections Training Facility.
