As part of the Department of Psychiatry, the Neurodevelopment & Psychosis Section and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) are devoted to the study of brain and behavior throughout the lifespan.

The Clinical Research Coordinator A will be responsible for all recruitment efforts including contacting, screening and enrolling potential study participants, attending community recruitment events, and meeting the recruitment goals set by project investigators.

Clinical Research Coordinator

The Neurodevelopment & Psychosis Section of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania has an opening for a Clinical Research Coordinator A with a focus on recruitment for research participants in studies of brain and behavior in psychosis.

The D1 project is a multi-site study that examines the dose-related effects of a potential therapeutic on neuroimaging biomarkers in schizophrenia patients. The project involves multiple visits for each participant, adherence to inclusion/exclusion criteria, clinical and cognitive assessment, laboratory tests, MRI scanning and data integration.

The Research Participant Recruiter will be responsible for contacting, screening and enrolling potential study participants, attending community recruitment events, and meeting the recruitment goals set by project investigators.

Qualifications

We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in psychology/social work/education/counseling or related fields and one to two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults and with patients with mental illness, and prior recruitment experience, are strongly preferred. Applicants must demonstrate an excellent level of organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong computer skills. The job requires flexible hours (including evenings and weekends) and readiness to travel to community settings to present and recruit. Valid driver license is preferred.

Background check required. Must pass Pennsylvania s Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment. Position contingent on funding.
