The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, cutaneous oncology. A demonstrated interest in epidemiology, study design, and clinical research is preferred. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree. Applicant must be board certified or board eligible in Dermatology. Graduation from a Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship sponsored by the American College of Graduate Medical Education is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic teaching of micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellows, residents from dermatology and other subspecialties who rotate with dermatologic surgery, medical students, and international rotators. Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for teaching fellows, residents, and students are required.

Clinical responsibilities may include Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and clinical care for patients with skin cancer. Applicants will have the opportunities to expand the services of specialty clinics in the Penn Dermatology Oncology Center.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include publishing and lecturing on topics that advance the prevention and treatment of skin cancer, particularly skin cancers at high risk for recurrence of metastasis.

The Penn Dermatology Oncology Center seeks candidates who demonstrate excellence in cutaneous oncology, Mohs micrographic surgery, complex reconstructive surgery, and ethical practice. The candidate will join our team of surgeons, medical dermatologists, and researchers to expand and strengthen the specialty services of our Penn Dermatology Oncology Center.
