Manager, Program Academic Support (PRN27356B)

Organizes, directs, and controls academic support related to assigned areas of focus.  This includes, but is not limited to, adjunct faculty support, serve as a canvas support resource for staff and faculty, and as a member of the COL Canvas support team, report to and assist the Program Manger to the Associate Deans and assist registrar’s office as needed.  This position may also serve as an administrative resource to other departments within the COL as needed.

COMPENSATION: $31,600-$40,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oversees administrative matters regarding the day-to-day operations and procedures of  assigned area within our program.
2. Develops and implements unit specific financial goals and performs strategic and tactical planning for the program by establishing short and long term range objectives.
3. Prepares or assists in preparing grant proposals, audit reports, protocols, publications, and articles.
4. Assesses related training needs and coordinates training programs to meet those needs.
5. Develops and implements department or program specific policies and procedures.
6. Serves as department representative in addressing issues and questions related to the programs, which may include representing the department on various committees.
7. Forecasts, prepares, or directs the preparation of the program budget and monitors expenditures. Negotiates terms of contracts and/or service agreements.
8. Stays abreast of legal or other related changes impacting the program and makes recommendations for improvement and compliance.
9. May develop systems and maintain records to support and advance the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years of related experience or equivalency. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
