SAC Advisor Description:
The Student Activities Center Advisor, under general supervision, oversees, coordinates, and advises a variety of activities and programs associated with student campus life, to include the student government, campus-wide events, programming boards, and other related student programs. This position will advise ASUNM Student Special Events, ASUNM Lobo Spirit, ASUNM Outreach and Appointments Committee, and co-advise the ASUNM Elections Committee (http://asunm.unm.edu). This position coordinates campus-wide programs including: Friday Night Live, Welcome Back Days, Red Rally, Fiestas and more. It oversees one professional staff member and a student marketing staff of two. This position must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Minimum Qulifications:
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Higher Education Administration or similar field
Experience advising college entertainment programming boards/committees
Experience advising college student government committees
Experience supervising staff/student staff
Experience developing and executing college campus-wide programs
