WSU is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant Professor/Associate Professor or a Professor with strong interest in medical education and curriculum development in the family medicine clerkship and electives; evaluating and supervising medical students in a community based/university setting; and scholarship to support the mission of the Boonshoft School of Medicine and the Department of Family Medicine.

Required: 

Assistant Professor Level: 
1. M.D. or D.O. degree 
2. Completion of a 3-year allopathic or osteopathic residency in Family Medicine 
3. Board Certification in Family Medicine 
4. Ohio Medical License or eligible for licensure 
5. Demonstrated effective performance in discipline recognized by peers 

Associate Professor level candidates must fulfill all the requirements above, along with at least 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Professor and a minimum of 5 articles in peer-reviewed journals or equivalent peer-reviewed repository from work done while at rank of assistant professor. They must also have documented evidence of sustained and performance in education and service.

Full Professor candidates must fulfill all the requirements of Associate Professor along with at least 5 years’ experience at the Associate Professor level and a minimum of 15 articles in peer-reviewed journals, majority published while at associate professor level; reflect ongoing and significant contribution to scholarly effort. They must also have sustained and performance in education and service, demonstrating major responsibility and outstanding teaching performance.

Preferred:

2-5 years of clinical experience with interest in medical student education, curriculum development, student supervision and evaluation. Knowledge of direct patient care in the outpatient care and/or inpatient setting. Point of Care Ultrasound skills a plus. Track record of scholarly activities.
