Analytics Manager

This position is a leadership role within the Pitt IT Analytics team. The individual will work with the leadership of the team to develop analytics and analytics governance processes, set standards for analytics work products and ensure those standards are maintained by those creating analytics. The individual will work with multiple technologies, have the skill and expertise to identify the best technology for a given need, and stay current on emerging technologies that may be needed to meet future demand. The Analytics Manager will serve as a resource for analysts and leaders in the university and is expected to share his/her knowledge with others to raise the overall level of analytics expertise at Pitt. An analytical mindset, motivation to continuously improve analytics offerings, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff is required.
 

Combination of education, experience and/or industry certifications will be considered in lieu of education. Minimum 5 years experience with the following: working directly with users, customers, business analysts, and/or functional subject matter experts to gather and analyze use cases and business needs; creating and applying design and quality standards; overseeing or creating useful dashboards. Familiarity with databases and SQL, Alteryx, Tableau and/or other analytics/dashboard platforms Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
