Assistant, Associate of Full Professor



The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (https://medschool.ucsd.edu/som/surgery/divisions/vascular/Pages/default.aspx) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seek to recruit a fellowship trained vascular surgeon with a focus on clinical care and research in the area of advanced endovascular and open vascular surgery.

The faculty member will be expected to devote up to 90% of their time to clinical care depending on clinical and research skills and mix and have a commitment to research and education.

Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in clinical care of patients, as well as an excellent track record of publication. Candidates must have an MD and board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery. Successful completion or anticipated completion of 0+5 or 5+2 fellowship program. Candidates must also have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate of Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.
