VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in HUMAN GEOGRAPHY

The Department of Geography at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a one-year VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in HUMAN GEOGRAPHY beginning August 2021. We seek candidates whose expertise supports our Geography and Global Studies degree programs, particularly our international and social science curricula. Possible courses may include World Regional Geography, Latin America, the Middle East, International Resource Management, and/or Sustainable Tourism. The ability to teach in-person and online is preferred. We seek candidates strongly committed to fostering inclusive learning environments, active pedagogy, and student success. Candidates must have a PhD in Geography or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

The Department of Geography is a doctoral-granting department housed in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). The department currently has 15 full-time faculty members, 70 undergraduate majors, and 25 graduate students. The department offers degrees in Geography, Geospatial Information Science, and Global Studies.

Oklahoma State University is a comprehensive flagship, land-grant, Carnegie Tier 1 research institution with more than 24,000 students on its combined Stillwater and Tulsa campuses.
