Assistant Director-Doctoral Psychology Training

The Assistant Director-Doctoral Psychology Training (DPT) reports to the Associate Director of Strategic Program and Services of the Counseling Center. The Assistant Director-DPT provides leadership in the development and management of UCC’s comprehensive clinical training program designed to meet the needs of Pre-doctoral Psychology Interns, Practicum and Externship trainees. Further, the Assistant Director-DPT will evaluate activities in a manner that is consistent with accreditation standards and other professional guidelines as set forth by the International Association of Counseling Services, the American Psychological Association, and the Association of Counseling Center Training Agencies. The Assistant Director-DPT will provide direct service to students and consult with university faculty/staff. This person will assist in developing, revising, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure adherence to best clinical practices, and legal and ethical codes. This person may be responsible for coordination of multidisciplinary teams/committees and will directly supervise clinical staff (as assigned).

-Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a regionally accredited university. Previous experience as either a coordinator or in a lead role in a graduate training program at a university counseling center, community mental health or academic program is preferred. Preference may be given to applicants with expertise/interest in at least one of the following areas: Crisis Management, Multicultural Care, Stepped Care, Telemental Health, Embedded Services, Psychological Assessments, Disordered Eating, Trauma, Substance Use, Research, Graduate and International student concerns. License eligible in Pennsylvania at hire or licensed within one year.
