Applications are invited for a full-time 12-month, non-tenure earning Instructor position in Marketing/Business Research (position #119410). The appointment is anticipated to start in August 2021 subject to funding availability. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Candidates will have a Master’s degree in an appropriate business-related discipline, from an AACSB accredited institution at the time of appointment or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. In addition to educational background, candidates must demonstrate relevant professional experience that is substantial in duration and level of responsibilities, as well as, professional and community service. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

 

Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in Digital Literacy, Business Process Integration, and Research with Industry Analysis supported by evidence of teaching excellence and proven effectiveness in development and teaching of face-to-face and online courses. Experience with utilizing high impact practices and assessment of learning goals is strongly desired. Professional experience in relevant fields, involvement with community engaged learning, and success in developing cooperative programs/initiatives with industry are considered strong assets.

 

This position requires:

  • Teaching online and face-to-face courses Business, Digital Literacy, Business Process Integration and Research and Industry Analysis.
  • Serving as the College’s Coordinator of Engaged Learning which involves working with College of Business (COB) personnel and outside businesses to secure consulting opportunities for live case studies in COB courses.
  • Serving on departmental, college and university committees, and participating in accreditation-related assessment activities.
  • Overseeing an annual live case competition that creates a collegiate, competitive environment for UWFs students to compete with external peers to solve real word problems related to the course topics.

 

The position may require teaching at other campuses of the university as part of degree-granting or corporate partnership training programs. Opportunities also exist for faculty to teach abroad at UWF partner schools.
