Assistant Senior Instructional Professor

Position Description

The Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago invites applications for an Assistant Senior Instructional Professor position with expertise in microeconomics and its applied fields to begin on July 1, 2021. The Assistant Senior Instructional Professor will teach four courses in the undergraduate curriculum. In addition, the Assistant Senior Instructional Professor will be responsible for oversight of the business economics track of the undergraduate program, curricular and co-curricular development in partnership with different entities in the university, and evaluation of undergraduate and MAPSS curriculum; supervising other teaching personnel; providing academic and career advice to students; and contributing to the academic administration of the degree programs.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics and a record of teaching courses in applied microeconomics such as managerial economics, industrial organization or human capital. In addition, three years of industry experience is preferred.
