Derek Hirst Professor in Early Modern British History

The Department of History at Washington University in St. Louis seeks to hire a distinguished scholar to be the inaugural Derek Hirst Professor in Early Modern British History. Applicants for this position should focus on the early modern history of the British Isles. A distinguished record of innovative scholarship, graduate training, and academic service and leadership are required. The successful candidate will prepare classes in their area of specialization, be active in research and publication, perform university service, and contribute to the community of early modernists in related departments and programs.
